Thieves grab cashier's bag with P120,000

A CASHIER of a lending company lost her bag containing P120,000 to two snatchers at Pioneer Avenue, Barangay Magugpo Poblacion, Tagum City on Tuesday morning.

Police identified the victim as Lilibeth Maaghop, 33, cashier of the Lending House Corporation, located at Door 3, Sipalay Building, Dalisay Gante Road, Tagum.

Based on reports from the Tagum City Police Station, the victim was on her way to the bank to deposit the money at Pioneer Avenue, when two men onboard a motorcycle snatched her green shoulder bag that contained cash amounting to P120,000 at around 9:00 a.m. Tuesday.

The men, who were wearing black jackets and bonnets immediately fled.

According to the police, the men could have followed the victim and were aware that she was carrying a large sum of money.

Authorities are conducting further investigations to determine whether the men are part of an organized group operating in the area. (Marvin Pineda)
