Traffic enforcer shot dead

A traffic enforcer was shot to death by two unidentified men on a motorcycle at Barangay Mabigo, Canlaon City in Negros Oriental Wednesday morning, July 26.

Police identified the fatality as Marcial Resaba, 57, of Purok Karay-a Angas II in the same village.

Chief Inspector Wilfredo Alarcon Jr., city police chief, said the victim was gunned down while driving his motorcycle on his way to work around 7 a.m. after dropping off his grandchild in school.

Resaba succumbed to two gunshot wounds.

Alarcon said the incident might be work-related or triggered by grudge.

The police has no lead yet on the identities of the perpetrators.
