MANILA -- Former Commission on Higher Education (Ched) official and Lasallian Brother Rolly Dizon has appealed to President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo not to appoint the next chief justice even as the Supreme Court allowed her to do so.

Dizon said this will be one way for the President to redeem her legacy and improve her public image.

He He also suggested to create an independent commission that will get to the bottom of controversies hounding the Arroyo administration.
