Zamboanga police receive 3 patrol cars

THE City Government has turned over three brand new vehicles worth P4.17 million to the Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) as part of its commitment to support the security sector.

Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar led the turnover of the vehicles that was held on Monday, December 18, and was received by ZCPO Director Vincent Neri Ignacio.

The vehicles--Ford Ranger--will be for the use of the Police Stations 1 (Vitali), 2 (Curuan) and 3 (Sangali).

The vehicles come with an initial 50 liters of gasoline for use of the three police stations in their patrols and monitoring purposes.

Salazar said the local government remains committed to support the security sector for the safety and protection of the residents of this city.

The turnover of the vehicles was witnessed by Senior Inspectors Jiverson Pelovello, Crisanto Yabo and Chester Natividad, the chiefs of Police Stations 1, 2, and 3, respectively.

The City Government has allocated over P800 million as support to the security sector since 2013.

The support comes in the form of transportation and communication facilities, office equipment, rifles, infrastructures and others. (Bong Garcia/SunStar Philippines)
