THE Provincial Government of Zamboanga Sibugay has intensified its poverty alleviation program for sustainable livelihood, as it implements a total of P87.6-million infrastructure projects in pre-identified areas of the province.

Anchored on Governor Wilter Palma's priority projects that include infrastructure, agriculture, and health, the projects are funded by Payapa Masaganang Pamayanan (Pamana) and Konkreto at Ayos na Lansangan ang Daan Tungo sa Pangkalahatang Kaunlaran (Kalsada).

Assistant Provincial Engineer Rommel Duran said the P87.6-million projects include road concreting, construction of water supply system Level 2, and construction of different covered courts.

First to be implemented is the 7.2-kilometer road concreting project that will connect the three barangays of Lutiman, Concepcion, and Kawayan, all of Alicia town.

The project, Duran said, will greatly ease traffic and enhance road travel in the three barangays.

He said the project is part of the Provincial Government's poverty alleviation program that targets the rural municipalities of Zamboanga Sibugay. (SunStar Philippines)
