Dino lands chopper in Ultra, uses restroom

PRESIDENTIAL Assistant for the Visayas Michael Dino was seen getting off a helicopter that landed at the PhilSports Complex in Pasig City to allegedly use the restroom.

A Facebook post containing photos of Dino walking across the soccer field of the Philippine Institute of Sports Complex, formerly known as Ultra, in Pasig City, was widely shared.

The post from an unnamed source alleged that the "VIP used the restroom and the chopper took off again."

Dino was said to have interrupted a sports meet of the Department of Education.

In a text message sent to SunStar Superbalita Cebu, Dino confirmed that it was him in the photos.

He said he was there to "pick up people then proceeded to Batangas."

Assistant Secretary Jonji Gonzales, spokesperson of the Office of Presidential Assistant in the Visayas (OPAV), denied that Dino only took a bathroom break.

In his Facebook post, Gonzales explained that Dino was on his way to Batangas for the launching of the 20th Malasakit Center branch. He stopped by the sports complex to fetch other passengers who were in the area for the helicopter ride to Batangas.
