The Department of Health’s (DOH's) official coronavirus tracker placed the total number of confirmed cases in the region since the start of the pandemic to some 205,761 with 181,891 recoveries. Coronavirus-related deaths in Central Luzon provinces reached some 4,549.

Central Luzon provinces have reported some 24,209 coronavirus cases in the last 14 days.

Most of the recent spikes have been recorded in Bulacan and Pampanga, which contributed to the bulk in the number of cases. Bulacan alone has recorded some 10,094 coronavirus cases in the last 14 days. Pampanga recorded some 4,363 cases in the same period.

Bataan also reported some 2,711 new coronavirus cases in the last 14 days along with Nueva Ecija with 2,200 and Tarlac with 1,691 cases.

Majority of the 177 health facilities in the region have been experiencing a rise in the number of bed occupancies.

The rate of occupancy in the region was currently at 75.8 percent. This meant that only 1,213 of the total 5,003 hospital beds in the region are currently available.

Some 66 health facilities have already reached critical levels of bed occupancy while some 25 facilities are in critical levels.
