CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Elements of the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) led by Police Lieutenant Colonel John Clark arrested two suspects in a checkpoint operation in Mabalacat town over the weekend.

Suspects Ryan Policarpio and Alexis Bagsic were arrested for possession of suspected illegal drugs and weapons in violation of the Omnibus Election Code.

Elements of the Pampanga 2nd PMFC were conducting a checkpoint at Barangay Tabun, Mabalacat when the motorcycle ridden by the tandem was flagged down for violation of the “no helmet policy”.

One of the suspects, Bagsic, was courteously asked to present his driver’s license and the OR/CR of the said motorcycle. When the driver opened the utility box, the inspecting PMFC personnel inadvertently saw, in plain view, a caliber .38 pistol.

When frisked, two heat-sealed small sachets containing suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) were recovered from the suspects’ possession. Furthermore, one bladed weapon was recovered in possession of the other suspect, Policarpio.

Clark said appropriate charges are now being prepared against the said suspects.
