21 ladies vie for Mutya Ning Kapampangan 2022

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO Twenty-one ladies representing the province’s cities and municipalities will try to win the Mutya Ning Kapampangan (MNK) crown.

The candidates were presented to members of Pampanga media on Tuesday evening as part of the pre-pageant competition held at the SM City Pampanga.

Provincial Tourism Officer Randy Del Rosario said this year’s competition is extra special as it is the MNK’s comeback after a two-year break due to the pandemic.

He said the tilt will test the talent, beauty, strength and wit of the 21 young ladies.

“We are searching for somebody who embodies the beautiful characteristics of Kapampangan women and at the same time, can serve as role models for the youth,” he said.

The MNK Grand Coronation Night, set on December 10, will celebrate the province’s arts and culture, Del Rosario said.

“The theme of the coronation night is Kapampangan folklore. There will be a storyline and it will revolve around the story of one of the daughters of Aring Sinukuan so expect the event to be fantastical, theatrical and magical,” he said.
