THE Pampanga Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. (PamCham) represented by President Rene Romero, the Metro Angeles Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. (MACCII) and the Clark Investors and Locators Association (CILA) represented by Dr. Frankie Villanueva Jr as Chairman and President, respectively, signed last June 6 at the Hevea Hotel, Angeles City the joint resolution supporting the launching of flights between Clark International Airport and General Santos international airport.

The resolution cited both the Metro Clark Area and South Cotabato have become major destinations for international and domestic tourists.

It also acknowledged that, currently, we are not realizing the huge potential for economic and cultural synergy between the economies of the Metro Clark Area and the South Cotabato Area.

This is due to the lack of direct air access between the two economic hubs but which could accelerate if and when flights between and General Santos International Airport are launched. (PR)
