FOUR persons were arrested inside the Pampanga Coliseum in Barangay Del Rosario, City of San Fernando, Sunday, July 7, for violation of the Cybercrime Prevention Act.

Lieutenant Colonel Levi Hope Basilio, City of San Fernando chief of police, identified the arrested persons as Carl Jethro delos Reyes, 29, of Barangay Poblacion, Mabalacat City; Jerome Alipio, 26, and Zoren Sicat, 27, both of Bulaon Resettlement, City of San Fernando; and Mark Joseph Araquel, 26, of Barangay Tabun, Mabalacat City.

Basilio said Alipio, Sicat and Araquel are all cameramen.

The suspects were arrested while operating and receiving bets through online cockfighting using the website www.sabonguniverse, Basilio said.

The operation stemmed from information received from a police asset and concerned citizens that there is an ongoing illegal online cockfighting at the Pampanga Coliseum.

Confiscated were two laptops, two LCD monitors, two video cameras, two tripods, an audio mixer, a unit of intensify shutter, a unit of Benro switcher, three LTE modem devices, two wireless microphones, a keyboard/mouse and online gambling paraphernalia. (Ric Sapnu)
