THE Angeles City Government has recorded 79 coronavirus disease (Covid-19) deaths as of December 3, 2020.

This came after the City Health Office (CHO) reported two new fatalities linked to the virus.

Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. said that 1,153 out of the 1,414 Covid-19 patients had recovered and discharged from various private and government hospitals and government facilities in the city, Pampanga province and Clark.

There are 182 active Covid-19 cases in the city as of December 3.

Lazatin, meanwhile, led the distribution of hams and rice to barangay officials in the city as a token for their hard work to contain the spread of the virus.

The mayor said his administration "recognizes the relentless work and efforts of officials and workers in the grassroots level for working hand in hand with the city government to bring services closer to all Angelenos."

Lazatin urged his constituents to continue observing health protocols to fight Covid-19.

He also commended the sacrifices of frontliners and local government workers to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
