THE Angeles City Government has recently released their employees’ mid-year bonuses amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. released Memorandum No. 670, Series of 2020, on April 29 to immediately compute and prepare the mid-year bonus of city government employees worth P32,542,594.

The bonuses were received by 1,316 employees, which includes 980 permanent, 321 casual, and 15 contractual, on Monday, May 18.

The grant of mid-year bonus is in accordance with Republic Act No. 11466 and the National Budget Circular No. 579 issued by Department of Budget and Management (DBM) on January 24.

Each employee’s bonus is equivalent to his/her one-month basic pay.

Flordeliza Santos, president of the Angeles City Employees for a New and Dynamic Angeles (AGENDA), commended Lazatin for his hard work in this trying time, stating that he is a public servant whom the public can count on.

“‘Yong administrasyon ni Mayor Pogi, nagpapahalaga sa mga kapakanan ng mga empleyado, lalo na ngayong panahon ng krisis,” Santos said.

Angelica Jane Calma, a casual employee from the Mayor’s Office who received the mid-year bonus for the first time, also expressed her gratitude to the city government.
