Angeles cops seize P1.3-M shabu

THE Angeles City police arrested a 41-year-old woman and confiscated P1.3 million of shabu in a recent anti-drug operation.

Colonel Joyce Partick Sangalang, city police director, identified the suspected drug peddler as Nihaya Dacula Salomabao, 41, of Purok 2, Barangay Pampang, Angeles City.

Sangalang said Salomabao was tagged a high-value target by the city police.

The local police have hightened its fight against criminality, particularly against the proliferation of illegal drugs, he added.

Sangalang commended his men, including Lieutenant Colonel Karen Clark, for conducting the buy-bust operation that led to the arrest of Salomabao.

He said witnesses were requested for inventory and marking of evidence in compliance to Section 21 of Republic Act (RA) 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.

The arrested suspect and pieces of evidence were brought to Police Station 2 for documentation and proper disposition.

Complaint for violation of Section 5, Section 11 and Section 15 Article II of RA 9165 were filed against the suspect at Angeles City Prosecutor's Office.
