MAYOR Carmelo "Pogi" Lazatin, Jr. has vowed to continue working against malnutrition among children in the city.

Lazatin disclosed that he has directed the City Nutrition Office (CNO) to conduct house-to-house mapping in preparation for the Vitamin A supplementation that will benefit kids 7 years old and below in Barangay Pandan.

The mayor said the city government has also scheduled deworming of children on July 4.

The CNO, headed by Jermaine Jam Aguila, stated that two mascots named Laz and Tin will again be present during the event to depict the theme "Batang Angeleno, Malusod at Masigla."

Te project, aimed at eradicating malnutrition in the locality, was implemented by the city government after Lazatin assumed office as local chief executive in 2019.

The CNO said deworming tablets that will be administered to the kids are chewable.

Lazatin will also distribute malunggay buns to the children during the event.
