Balik-Eskwela Diskwento Caravan in Bulacan earns P1.2M

MALOLOS CITY -- Around P1.2 million in sales were generated during the Balik-Eskwela Diskwento Caravan of Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) last month.

DTI Provincial Director Zorina Aldana said the May 24 to 25 stop in City of San Jose Del Monte earned P1.1 million while the May 28 visit in Malolos City earned P100,000.

Diskwento Caravan seeks to assist minimum wage earners avail of reduced prices of basic and prime commodities and high quality products.

“A total of 41 manufacturers and distributors coming from Bulacan, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Nueva Vizcaya and Metro Manila participated in the caravan wherein they offered 5 to 50 percent discount and freebies to buyers,” she added. (PIA)
