CITY OF SAN FERNANDO The Provincial Government of Pampanga, through the Provincial Nutrition Committee (PNC), conducted the Pampanga Community-Based Nutritional and Micronutrient Supplementation Program for Undernourished School-Aged Children in Sagrada, Masantol on Friday, November 25.

On behalf of Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, Provincial Nutrition Action Officer Elaine Tinambunan led the program, where they distributed a five-month supply of nutritious food and vitamins to children aged six to twenty-three months old and three years old and above.

Each child aged 3-23 months received porridge, nutributter, iron syrup, and vitamin C; while milk, iron syrup, multivitamins, and nutributter are for children aged three years and above.

At the same time, PNC also distributed similar assistance to pregnant and lactating mothers.

Each pregnant and lactating mother received milk, multivitamins, iron with folic acid, thirty pieces of 350 grams of rice, and a lipid-based nutritional supplement. In addition, they were also given a breastfeeding cover, facemask, and bag.
