CITY OF SAN FERNANDO The rovincial government of Pampanga is set to purchase some 505 service vehicles for all barangays in the province.

Meanwhile, coastal villages will get motorized boats to serve the logistical needs of residents in times of emergencies and official functions.

The provincial government yesterday turned over the first batch of 100 service vehicles to barangay officials on Monday at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center here.

The provincial government will also give P300,000 to each coastal barangay for the purchase of two service boats.

"These barangay service vehicles are intended to provide transportation services to our Cabalen, especially to those living in far-flung areas and in need of immediate medical assistance," Pineda said.

He said the project will not be possible without the support of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan headed by Vice Governor Lilia "Nanay" Pineda.

"We upgraded your transport services to vans so that our cabalens could travel in comfort. Please make the best use of them for the benefit of our constituents,” Governor Delta said. “Make the vehicles available 24/7 to our Cabalens,” he added.
