THE Clark Development Corporation (CDC) has turned over P3 million worth of mobile kitchen to the municipality of Capas in Tarlac.

CDC President and Chief Executive Officer Manuel Gaerlan turned over to Capas Mayor Reynaldo Catacutan the mobile kitchen after the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) recently held at the Conference Room of the CDC’s Office of the President.

“We are now signing this MOA with the local government of Capas as a show of our partnership and friendship and also CDC’s goodwill to the people of Capas,” Gaerlan said before the signing of the agreement.

“This is the proof of CDC’s commitment to helping neighboring towns and cities in the province to further assist our ‘needy’ constituents or kababayans in Capas, Tarlac,” he added.

Catacutan said the mobile kitchen will mostly benefit Aetas residing in the mountainous region of Capas, Tarlac to bring food closer to the communities of the said area.

"I will bring this (mobile kitchen) to our brother Aetas. I promise that this will be used in our daycare centers. And I also plan to bring this to the mountains to our Aeta brothers and sisters so that they can eat freshly cooked meals,” said Catacutan in his acceptance speech.

Gaerlan was also joined by CDC Vice Chairman Benjamin Defensor Jr., with members of the Board of Directors, namely lawyer Ana Liza Peralta, Director Nestor Villaroman Jr., Director Felimon Santos Jr., and Director Emmanuel Salamat.

Also present during the activity were CDC Vice President for Admin and Finance Engr. Mariza Mandocdoc, CDC Assistant Vice President for External Affairs Rommel Narciso, and Community Affairs Officer Maita Claire Bartolome from the office of the mayor in Capas, Tarlac.

CDC continues to strengthen its partnership with local government units through its initiatives of reaching out to the community.
