Central Luzon Covid-19 cases hit 226,000, deaths climb to 4,700

CONFIRMED coronavirus cases in Central Luzon reached a total of 226,110, while the total number of deaths increased to 4,792 cases, according to data from the Department of Health (DOH) on September 14, 2021.

For September 14 alone, some 1,516 new cases were recorded from the different provinces of Central Luzon, according to the DOH.

Of the total number of confirmed cases since the start of the pandemic, some 201,153 have since recovered, while 20,165 have remained active.

Bulacan province still had the greatest number of confirmed cases at 87,728, with Pampanga registering some 43,283. Bataan followed at a close third with 24,938 cases. Nueva Ecija had recorded 23,343 cases, while Tarlac recorded 17,039.

Some 24,469 cases have been recorded in Central Luzon in the last 14 days, according to the DOH.

Bulacan also had the greatest number of deaths in the region with 1,318. Pampanga was second with 1,188 cases, followed by Nueva Ecija with 688. Bataan also recorded a significant number of deaths at 410. Deaths from the coronavirus in Tarlac was at 402 cases, according to the DOH tracker.
