THE Police Regional Office in Central Luzon (PRO-3) will implement the whole-of-nation approach in the fight against illegal drugs.

“We are going to implement the whole-of-nation approach in the fight against illegal drugs not whole-of-government. This means, we will engage various sectors of the society such as non-governmental organizations and those in the corporate world because that is a tried and tested formula,” newly-installed PRO-3 Acting Regional Director Rhodel O. Sermonia said during the assumption of command ceremony.

During his stint as provincial director of Bataan from October 2014 to July 2016, Sermonia implemented the multi-sectoral approach in the fight against illegal drugs.

“Our initiatives on the Bahay Pagbabago Reformation Center have been very fruitful. Indeed, the Dangerous Drugs Board adopted our template that became the Balay Silangan Reformation Center,” he said.

A member of Philippine Military Academy Makatao Class of 1989, Sermonia previously served as Deputy Director of the Directorate for Police Community Relations and Director of Police-Community Relations Group.

He replaced Brigadier General Joel Napoleon M. Coronel who is the new head of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group. (PIA Central Luzon)
