City offers digital skills training

THE City Government of Mabalacat is set to provide free digital skills training to interested Mabalaqueños.

Through the Management Information System Office (MISO), the city government will conduct an orientation regarding online jobs from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on September 3 at the Jade Hall, Xevera Complex in Barangay Tabun.

Some of the free training courses include computer and internet literacy, virtual assistance, and website development.

The free skills training will be conducted in partnership with the Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT) and Metroclark ICT Council (MCICTC).

The training aims to help unemployed individuals including out-of-school youth and single parents get skills needed to increase their chances of employment.

"The training will give them an edge in the freelancing industry. They will learn home-based job skills and other techniques on how to earn money online," the city information said in a statement.
