Coastal villages get financial, Food aid

GOVERNOR Dennis “Delta” Pineda visited eight coastal barangays in the towns of Sasmuan and Lubao on Tuesday, July 26.

The governor, together with other provincial officials, brought food and financial assistance to the said communities that were affected by recent flooding due to the monsoon rains.

Pineda also sent groups to distribute relief packs to 5,254. Each pack contains five kilos of rice, five cans of corned beef, five cans of sardines, and frozen meat.

Aside from medical and food assistance, each family also received financial assistance worth P500.

During his visit, he promised to provide additional support to the coastal communities.

Also present at the distribution were 2nd District Board Members Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab, Fritzie David-Dizon, and Sajid Khan Eusoof, Sasmuan Mayor Catalina Cabrera, Lubao Vice Mayor Jay Montemayor, and Special Assistant to the Governor Angelina Blanco.
