THIRTY-EIGHT year-old Maricon Mantibe and her family depended on her husband's daily wage as a construction worker to make ends meet but with the ongoing lockdowns to stem the spread of the dreaded coronavirus, her family had to make do with the little they had.

Fortunately, the Pampanga 2nd Police Mobile Force Company (PMFC) led by Commander John Clark came to the poor family's rescue and delivered a half-cavan of rice, one box of canned goods to the family.

The gesture was part of the Rektang Bayanihan Adopt a Family Program. The police officials personally delivered the goods to the Mantibe Family of Barangay Madapdap, Mabalacat.

The said family is among the low income families in Pampanga being affected by the implementation of Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) . The head of the family is a construction worker and can no longer work to the ongoing spread of the corona virus and as well as the ongoing ECQ.

"Rektang Bayanihan aims to provide the families with support and to ensure that families in the poor communities we serve, can also have hope not just in times of crisis but as always if possible," Clark said.
