Cops host social service for Aetas

PERSONNEL of Pampanga 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company led by Police Lieutenant Colonel John L. Clark, launched the Expanded Caravan for indigenous beneficiaries in Mabalacat City.

In line with the Philippine National Police (PNP) Patrol Plan 2030, the event was made possible together with personnel of Mabalacat City Police Station, Mabalacat City Administrator’s Office, Local Civil Registrar’s Office, City Health Office, Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo members and Bantay Bayan of Barangay Marcos.

The beneficiaries of the caravan were the 250 individuals from the Aeta Community led by Aeta Chieftain Roy Tanglao.

The caravan featured bayanihan activities, distribution of free seedlings and tree planting activities, as well as a one-stop service, such as free haircut, Global Police Community Desk-Overseas Filipino Worker Desk and free blood pressure check.

The event also hosted the distribution of goods and face masks and shields, issuance of police clearance, family planning lectures, among others.

The caravan aimed to foster closer coordination between the PNP and the community amid the coronavirus pandemic. The event is also in support of the 23rd Year of Indigenous Peoples' Rights and Welfare.
