DA-Central Luzon culminates Women’s Month celebration

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- To highlight the Women’s Month culmination program, the Department of Agriculture (DA) in Central Luzon paid tribute to some inspiring DA women personnel on March 26 after the regular flag ceremony at the DA grounds.

The inspiring women were lawyer Jennilyn Dawayan, Marissa Umali, Rhodora Galan, Ma. Lourdes Baluyut, Rolibeth Zapata, and Emily David.

The awarding ceremony of the winners of the different contest categories were also recognized in line with the said celebration.

The winners for the on-the-spot poster making contest were Marlon Beltran (first), Cesar Nepomuceno (second), and Matthew Mak Capillo (third) for the male category, while Gerlie Manga (first), Mariella Sunga (second), and Mylene Miclat (third) won in the female category.

For the on-the-spot essay writing contest the winners were Emnico David (first), and Arvin Guinto (second) for the male category and Noemi Guintu (first), and Maureen Munoz (second) for the female category.

For the photo contest, the winners were Christian Paul Perez (first), Cesjoey Carl Encarnacion (second), and Jerome Gumangan (third) for the male category, and Golda Kimberly Fernandez (first), Maureen Munoz (second), and Kathleen Catacutan (third) for the female category.

The winners received P3,000 for the first placer, P2,000 for the second placer, P1,000 for the third placer, and P500 as consolation prize.

Meanwhile, the winners for the edible landscaping contest were the Administrative and Finance Division (first), Research Division (second), and Regional Agricultural and Engineering Divison (third).

The winners received P5,000 for the first placer, P3,000 for the second placer, P2,000 for the third placer and P1,000 as consolation prize. (PR)
