DA honors ‘green army’ for agri-partnership

THE Green Youth Army (GYA) of the Department of Agriculture (DA) conducted Recognition of Service with a theme: “Serving with Love and Honor” and Signing of the Memorandum of Agreement with Regional Special Training Units (RSTU) Partner at the Capitol Hill Hotel and Suites Clarkview in Angeles City.

Undersecretary Evelyn G. Laviña, undersecretary for High Value Crops and Rural Credit (HVCRC), as their guest of honor and speaker, commended the successful implementation of projects and programs of the GYA.

She emphasized their Vision: “One Voice, One Goal, One Dream,” that through partnerships, everyone’s voice, goal and dream can achieve more.

The undersecretary added that the group just started engaging youth for food awareness, has been replicated and now moving up and scaling up.

The DA, as the enabler, is continuously partnering with the GYA for the One Goal to attain food security.

Included in the activity is the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement with their new partner, RSTU, witnessed by the Undersecretary Laviña.

The Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office(DA-RFO)-Central Luzon and its banner program, High Value Crops Development Program (HVCDP) as one of their active partners were given plaques of recognition.

Regional Executive Director Crispulo G. Bautista, Jr. represented by Dr. Eduardo L. Lapuz, Jr. (RTD for Operations and Extension), COS HVCRC, lawyer Joycel Panlilio, Credit Support Focal Person, Jose Jeffrey Rodriguez, Regional HVCDP focal person, Engineer AB P. David, Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Service Division chief, Fernando C. Lorenzo, and Regional HVCDP Report Officer, Christine Joy L. Corpuz, has also given plaques of recognition for their service in the government that contributed to the GYA programs and projects since 2018.
