DA hosts agri-fisheries congress

THE Department of Agriculture (DA) hosted the Agricultural and Fishery Council (AFC) Luzon A Congress with the theme “One Resilient Agriculture: Empowering AFCs in Achieving Food Security through Building Awareness and Collaboration for the New Normal” in Lubao town recently.

The event was led by Regional Executive Director Crispulo Bautista, Jr. and AFC Executive Officer Engr. Francisco Hernandez with Sectoral Committee Representatives on July 22.

The purpose of this meeting was to discuss various agri-fishery issues and concerns in order to come up with appropriate solutions. This was also to strengthen the association of Luzon A leaders towards their responsive, reinforced and sustained commitment to the AFCs.

The department will continue to conduct programs for farmers and fishermen of the region especially in the new lifestyle caused by the pandemic.
