THE Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division (Amad) of the Department of Agriculture-Central Luzon conducted a Kadiwa Ani at Kita Share Mo community pantry and market matching on June 22 at the San Jose del Monte (SJDM) City Jail in Bulacan.

The mobile pantry helped 92 persons deprived of liberty (PDL) and an estimated 1.1MT of Tagalog vegetables, including eggplant, ampalaya, upo, and squash from Sanchez Farm from San Ildefonso, Bulacan.

Also with the help of the department through Menchie Nogoy of Amad, Sanchez Farm has been linked to SJDM City Jail to be able to sell their vegetable crops at cheaper rates.

JO1 Bryan Gattoc, JO2 Niña Merano and their fellow officers at the SJDM City Jail are very grateful for the department's free vegetable gift because they can now use it for their daily needs.

They also plan to buy vegetables directly from Bulacan farmers in their next purchases to get cheaper and fresher products.

Kadiwa ni Ani at Kita continues to launch in Central Luzon and link farmers with potential buyers of their products to help them generate more income.
