DEPARTMENT of Agriculture (DA) Undersecretary Evelyn G. Laviña together with DA High Value Crops Development Program (DA-HVCDP) team traveled from Palauig in Zambales to Anao town in Tarlac province to attend the Ylang- Ylang Stakeholders meeting recently.

The meeting aims at maintaining Ylang Ylang as the pride of the Municipality of Anao as the farmers and the local government unit of Anao strengthened their bond in the production of Ylang-Ylang with a total of 0.5 hectares managed by the LGU and 0.7 hectares managed by the local farmers.

Ylang-Ylang flowers produced by the individual farmers are purchased by the LGU of Anao which are then processed to produce oil, perfume, car freshener, massage oil, and essential oil.

Surprisingly, it also supplies Ylang-Ylang oil to Chanel as their perfume based and they market the processed products at their One-Stop-Shop near the municipality.
