DOT 3: CDC is Top 2 destination in Central Luzon

CLARK FREEPORT This Freeport has been recognized by the Department of Tourism in Central Luzon (DOT 3) as the second top destination in Central Luzon and the top contributor to overnight tourists in Pampanga.

DOT 3 Regional Chief Carolina Uy awarded the Certificate of Recognition to Clark Development Corporation (CDC).

“This award can be attributed to the active and diligent efforts of promoting sports tourism, your parade of world-class hotels, your parade of compliant hotels, and of course, not to mention, your entertainment facilities, your theme parks, your golf courses, as well as the world-class Clark International Airport,” Uy said.

According to the Office of Tourism Development Planning, Research and Information Management (OTDPRIM), Clark recorded 640,353 tourist arrivals in Pampanga for 2021, representing 77.22 percent of total arrivals reported.

Region-wide, this reflects a total contribution of 33.7 percent to Central Luzon, making it one of the top overnight destinations for local tourists last year.

Uy also cited the CDC’s efforts in the improvement of the tourism industry and its best practices.

CDC Vice President for Administration and Finance Engineer Mariza O. Mandocdoc thanked the representatives from hotels and tourism facilities in Clark who were present during the awarding ceremonies.

Also present during the awarding ceremonies were CDC Vice President for Business Development and Business Enhancement Group Rynah F. Ventura; CDC Tourism Promotions Division (TPD) Manager Noemi B. Julian; and CDC-TPD Assistant Manager Elenita S. Lorenzo.

Representatives from Clark hotels present during the event were from Hilton Clark Sun Valley Resort, Clark Marriott Hotel, Midori Hotel and Casino, Royce Hotel and Casino, Quest Plus Conference Center - Clark, Park Inn by Radisson Clark, Xenia Hotel, Hotel Stotsenberg, and Fontana Leisure Parks. #
