CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) District Engineering Offices, in partnership with local government units, have started conducting disinfection operation in converged places in Central Luzon.

“Our maintenance employees, donning protective suits, spray low-concentration chlorine-and-water mixtures using gas powered sprayers on highly touched surfaces and on streets and areas most transited by the public,” DPWH Regional Director Roseller Tolentino said.

“Pre-identified converged areas include those commonly frequented and likely to be highly contaminated such as schools, public markets, malls, hospitals and supermarkets,” Tolentino added.

As of March 27, a total of 70 converged areas have been disinfected along the highways of Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac and Zambales. (PIA-Central Luzon)
