THE Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) opened its 21st Negosyo Center in Pampanga located in Masantol town.

DTI Provincial Director Elenita Ordonio said the facility would be a big help to micro, small and medium enterprises in expanding their businesses, as she encouraged everyone to support the newly-opened center and patronize its services.

“This Negosyo Center provides business advisory services, training, business name registration assistance, registration for Barangay Micro Business Enterprises, and will also serve as an OFW Assistance Desk, display center, database center and venue for market matching activity,” she said.

For his part, Mayor Danilo Guintu expressed support to the operation of the said facility in the town.

“I am very happy that the services of DTI are now in our municipality, especially because Masantoleños are business-minded persons. With this, they do not have to go to the City of San Fernando anymore just to get a DTI certificate. It is really our goal to bring the services of various government agencies closer to our constituents,” he said.

The creation of Negosyo Centers in each local government unit is mandated under Republic Act 10644, otherwise known as the Go Negosyo Act, to support inclusive growth and economic development. (PIA)
