Ex-police officer nabbed for illegal arms, ammo

A FORMER police officer was arrested by the Second Provincial Mobile Force Company for violation of Presidential Decree 1866 or illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, police said.

Lieutenant Colonel John Clark identified the suspect as Arnold Sabado Sagun, who was arrested after serving a search warrant in Mabalacat City the other day.

Force Commander Clark’s team, accompanied by the Special Weapons and Tactics team, conducted the search by virtue of Search Warrant No. 19-463 issued by Hon. Omar T. Viola of Regional Trial Court, Branch 57, Angeles City.

The search resulted to the confiscation of pieces of evidence inside the suspect’s home in Barangay Mauaque. Confiscated from the suspect’s home include one cal. 45 Norinco gun with serial # BA 14502; three pieces of stainless magazine of cal. 45; sixteen pieces of live ammunitions of cal. 45 and a sling bag.

The pieces of evidence were turned over to the Mabalacat City Police Station for documentation and proper disposition.
