THE alleged suspect in the robbery break-in at Filchoice Meat Products voluntarily surrendered to the office of Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr.

The suspect was identified as JR (not his true name), 14, a resident of Barangay Cutcut, Angeles City.

JR, with his mother, was accompanied by Police Major Rolando Doroja of Police Station 5.

Doroja said they have received the incident report last August 19 at 10 a.m, with a CCTV footage. The crime reportedly transpired at 2:40 a.m. of August 18.

Lazatin also requested the help of the Angeles City Police Office to conduct a random drug test to the alleged suspect.

He then tapped the City Social Welfare and Development Office since the involved suspect is still a minor.

In addition, the mayor told JR's mother that regardless of his son's age, he has to pay for what he committed when proven guilty.

"We must comply with the formal procedure," he added.

Lazatin also mentioned that he will not tolerate any wrongdoings in the city.

Further investigation is now ongoing. (PR)
