Garbo: Improve access to quality education

MABALACAT City Mayor Crisostomo Garbo has stressed the need to provide quality education to the youths which he described as the future of the city.

Garbo said during the groundbreaking ceremonies for several classrooms in Talimundok, Villa Teodora in Barangay Dau and Marcos Village Elem Schools that his administration is committed to provide access to equal education.

Despite inclement weather, Garbo led the ground breaking ceremonies for the three school buildings in the two public primary schools.

Other officials who graced the event were Pampanga First District Congressman Carmelo "Jon" Lazatin II; Dr. Ma. Irelyn Tamayo; District Schools Superintendent, DepEd Mabalacat Division, and Vice Mayor Christian Halili.

Garbo expressed support to the projects which is expected to provide pupils conducive areas for learning.

Lazatin, Tamayo Dr. Irelyn Tamayo and Halili also shared words of encouragement to the teachers to continue serving and nurturing the students.

Chairman Derrick Dee of Barangay Dau and Archibon Estanislao of Marcos Village expressed gratitude to the Department of Education and the city government for the project.

They also vowed to support the city government's education program.
