UNOPPOSED Pampanga Third District Representative Aurelio “Dong” Gonzales, Jr. said he will continue to make the rounds in his jurisdiction during the 45-day campaign period.

Gonzales, who is seeking a second term as member of the House of Representatives, said that he will maximizing his time to campaign for hearing the concerns of his constituents.

“Being unopposed will not stop me from performing my mandate to the people of the third district. I will still be making rounds and meet with my constituents and consult them of the programs and projects they need in the community,” Gonzales said.

He added that he will also squeeze in some time for helping his partymates under the local KAMBILAN party to campaign for the respective positions they are seeking — from the gubernatorial bid of Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda down to the candidates in the local government.

Commission on Elections- Pampanga officer Fernando Cot-om said Gonzales needs only one vote to be officially re-elected to his post.

Gonzales was left unopposed after his lone opponent, a certain Cecilia Canlas of Sta. Ana town, officially withdrew from the congressional race on March 19.
