POLICEMEN in Mabalacat City, Pampanga recently underwent surprise drug testing.

This is in line with the internal cleansing program of the Philippine National Police (PNP).

Lieutenant Colonel Soledad Elefanio, city police officer-in-charge, said the drug test covered all personnel of Mabalacat City Police Station.

These include non-uniform personnel and job order employees.

Soledad said the drug testing was facilitated by Regional Crime Laboratory Office led by Lieutenant Nario S. Lazaro on August 6, 2021.

The said activity is in line with the directives of Brigadier General Valeriano T De Leon, Central Luzon police director.

Soledad said De Leon directed all local police stations to implement the internal cleansing and campaign against illegal drugs within the police organization.

She added that they have been conducting series of unannounced random drug testing and continuous monitoring to all PNP personnel of this station to make sure that no cop is engaged in any illegal drug activities.
