Mabalacat posts zero Covid case

THE Mabalacat City Government, through its Covid-19 Response Integrated System (Cris), has recorded zero new active cases on its bulletin for November 14.

The case update posted on Mabalacat City News Covid-19 Updates Facebook page also showed that 20 out of the 27 villages of the city are now free from the dreaded virus. No new deaths were recorded on the same day.

Mabalacat City Mayor Crisostomo Garbo attributed this development to the intensified Covid-19 response and the wide-range of vaccination programs being implemented by the local government.

But Garbo urged his fellow Mabalaqueños not to be complacent with the downward trend of Covid-19 cases in the city by remaining vigilant and adherent to the minimum public health standards mandated by the government.

Last week, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG)-Central Luzon urged Mabalacat City and other local government units with high inoculation coverage to submit a documented report on their vaccination best practices.

In a supplementary attachment, records show that Mabalacat City continues to exhibit high vaccination rate in Central Luzon, garnering 96.06 percent first dose immunity and 78.68 percent full dose immunity of its 198,001 target population.

As of Monday, November 15, Mabalacat City’s active cases have dipped to 23 with a positivity rate of only 0.3 percent.

The City Government has also launched its Pediatric Vaccination Program for the eligible population aged 12 to 17 years old.
