A 43-YEAR-OLD wanted by law for sexual assault and child abuse was arrested by the Mabalacat City police on Monday, September 20, 2021.

Colonel Arnold C. Ibay, Pampanga police director, identified the suspect as Johnny Tungol, 43, a tinapa vendor and resident of Barangay Tabun, in this city.

Tungol was tagged as Mabalacat's Most Wanted Person, the provincial police said.

The suspect is facing three counts of sexual assault and six counts of child abuse. The court recommended a bail bond amounting to P1.8 million for Tungol.

The Mabalacat police were assisted by cops assigned at the Arayat Police Station, Regional Mobile Force Battalion and other Philippine National Police units during the operation conducted around 7 a.m. on September 22.

Ibay directed police chiefs in the province to intensify their operation against wanted persons.
