Macabebe town records 1st Covid-19 case

THE local government unit (LGU) of Macabebe Friday, March 27, reported its first positive case of coronavirus disease (Covid-19).

According to the official statement issued by the LGU, the patient was admitted at a private hospital in Apalit town on March 9 and was discharged 12 days after, March 21.

The patient reportedly recovered from the viral disease but is still awaiting test results from the Department of Health (DOH) Regional Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit.

“As of the moment, the patient is alive and doing well,” the LGU noted.

The LGU, meanwhile, assured its constituents that DOH protocols such as contact-tracing is being implemented to ensure the safety of the community.

It also asked residents to continue adhering to the preventive measures implemented by the authorities to prevent the spread of disease.
