Mexico drug sting yields P2M worth of drugs

AN ANTI-ILLEGAL drug operation launched in Mexico, Pampanga recently yielded more than P2 million worth of suspected methampethamine hydrochloride (shabu).

Pampanga Police Provincial Office Director Arnold Thomas Ibay said the illegal drugs were recovered from two high-value targets identified as Ali Malik, 31, and Abulaid Omadan, 26.

Seized from the two were one heat-sealed and three knot-tied plastic sachets of substance believed to be shabu weighing around 305 grams and with an estimated street value of P2.074 million, the buy-bust money and other pieces of evidence and personal belongings.

Charges for violation of Section 5 and Section 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed in court against the arrested suspects.
