THE Midori Hotel and Casino recently donated 96 sets of trash bins to Clark Development Corporation (CDC) in response to the state-owned corporation's call for responsible waste disposal in the Clark Freeport.

According to CDC, these sets of trash bins will be placed in various parts of the zone, particularly in areas frequented by the public.

Each set includes color-coded garbage bins to promote proper waste segregation -- green for food waste, yellow for paper, and red for plastic and cans.

CDC hopes that this will encourage the residents, guests, and stakeholders of the Freeport to practice proper waste disposal and help keep the zone clean and green.

CDC President and CEO Manuel Gaerlan personally received the donated materials from Midori Hotel General Manager Vincent Tang, and Midori Casino Manager Emmanuel Aure.

Gaerlan also thanked Midori's management for supporting CDC's mission of maintaining the Freeport’s cleanliness and orderliness.

CDC Chief-of-Staff Dennis Legaspi, CDC-Vice President for Business Development and Business Enhancement Group (BDBEG) Rynah Ventura, CDC Vice President for Administration and Finance Mariza Mandocdoc, CDC Vice President for Engineering Services Group (ESG) Ralph Mamauag, CDC- Assistant Vice President for Administration Ma. Zoraida Camello and personnel from Midori were also present during the activity to witness the turnover of donations.

The provision of additional trash bins is seen as a relevant and timely initiative as the state-owned firm prepares for the reopening of various parks in the Freeport. CDC expects that the positioning of the garbage receptacles on accessible areas will allow the public to optimize the use of the trash bins and decrease the amount of litter in communal spaces here.

New, innovative, and stricter guidelines are now being considered and arranged by the state-owned corporation before reopening the parks, and other locations in the Freeport. (PR)
