More flooding in 2 coastal Pampanga towns

THE Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) reported more barangays that are now in flood water due to high tide and monsoon rains.

In a situational report signed by PDRRM officer Angelina Blanco, flooded barangays in the coastal town of Macabebe have now reached a total of 11 barangays. Flooding had been reported in Saplad David, Candelaria, Sta. Maria, San Gabriel, Tacasan, Castuli, Sta. Lutgarda, San Esteban, Mataguiti, San Juan, and Consuelo. The average flood level in the said areas is around two feet with water reaching as high as four feet in Barangay Candelaria.

Some 26 barangays in Masantol are also flooded. High tide and monsoon rains have flooded the barangays of San Nicolas, Santa Lucia Paguiba, Santa Lucia Wakas, Bebe Anac, Sua, Palimpe, Cambasi, Sta. Cruz, San Pedro, Bulacus, Sta. Monica, San Agustin, Bebe Matua, Maluali, Puti, Alauli, Balibago, Sagrada, Nugui and Sapang Kawayan. The average height of floodwater is one foot.

A total of 37 barangays in both Masantol and Macabebe are now flooded.
