FOUR kilos of dried marijuana leaves were confiscated from three suspected drug personalities during the conduct of an anti-illegal drug operation by local authorities of Bacolor town recently.

Chief Inspector Jan Carl Gopez, the town police chief, identified the suspects as Christian Schwartz, 26, Jay-Ann Gallardo, 26 and Nikki de Reglos, 20, who were arrested in Barangay San Isidro.

Gopez said that the suspects were residents of Barangay Alasas in the adjacent City of San Fernando, but were in Bacolor to deliver the contraband to small-time drug pushers.

Gopez added that further investigation revealed that the suspects are also the sources of illegal drugs, particularly dried marijuana leaves, in other towns and cities in the province.

Confiscated from the suspects were at least four bricks and a roll of suspected dried marijuana leaves with an estimated street value of P100,000, the marked money used in the operation, and other personal belongings.

Charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of the Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Acts are now being readied against the suspects who are currently detained at this town’s station detention facility.
