CITY OF SAN FERNANDO - Residents here who are 85 years old will be receiving cash incentives from the city government.

This, after Ordinance No. 2023-020 authored by Councilor Cristina Lagman has been passed by the Sangguniang Panlungsod, and approved by Mayor Vilma Caluag.

Under the said measure, Fernandinos who reach 85 years old are entitled to receive a one-time cash grant of P25,000.

“The grant of cash incentive is appropriate, in addition to their monthly pension which is insufficient for their rapidly increasing medical need. It is also a tribute to their invaluable contribution to the city throughout the years,” the ordinance read.

The grantee, or his/her kin, must present birth certificate, government-issued ID, and barangay resolution proving residence to get the incentive.
