P.5M worth of marijuana seized in Apalit town

MORE than half a million peso worth of dried marijuana was confiscated during a buy-bust operation in Apalit town on Tuesday, January 27, 2021.

Police Regional Office-Central Luzon Director Brigadier General Valeriano De Leon said the illegal drugs were seized from a suspect identified as John Lour Nardo, 19, a resident of Bulacan province.

A total of 10 sachets of suspected dried marijuana leaves with fruit tops weighing about 4,170 grams with an estimated street value of P500,400, other paraphernalia and other personal belongings were recovered from the suspect.

A charge for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 against the suspect is being readied for filing in court.
