CITY OF SAN FERNANDO —The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Pampanga hosted an orientation on the agency's programs and services.

The training, held in Arayat town, is expected to help small entrepreneurs in the community.

The event was attended by members of Mount Arayat Upland Farmers Association and solo parents held at the Barangay Hall of San Juan Baño early this week.

DTI acting Region 3 director Brigida T. Pili spearheaded the discussion on how the agency assists micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and associations with regard to livelihood activities.

Also present during the orientation were 40 agrarian reform beneficiaries.

The activity was conducted to help the Mt. Arayat Upland Farmers Association develop their own products using available raw materials in their area.

At the same time, solo parents were advised on how they can form an association for their planned livelihood project, the DTI said.
