Capitol gives salaries of 998 Tupad beneficiaries

SOME 998 beneficiaries under the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (Tupad) program have already received their salaries for their 10 days of work in their respective communities, as the Provincial Government of Pampanga led the salary distribution of the beneficiaries on Wednesday, March 2, 2022.

The beneficiaries received their P4,200 salaries through the Public Employment Service Office (Peso) and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center.

Under the program, each beneficiary was hired to work for a minimum of 10 days with a daily pay based on the prevailing minimum wage. Each was provided protective clothing and headgear and enrolled for insurance coverage with the Government Service Insurance System covering the entire duration of their work program.

Tupad is a DOLE program that provides temporary employment to displaced, underemployed and seasonal workers.

Tupad is a community-based package of assistance that provides emergency employment for displaced workers, underemployed and unemployed indigents.
