Parish gets supplements, supplies from NGO

SANTIAGO Apostol Parish in Guagua's Betis District received calcium supplements, face masks and face shields from the Soroptimist International of Guagua, as the organization adopted Barangays San Agustin and San Juan Nepomuceno for their social service programs.

Soroptimist International of Guagua president Divine Tulio and Mayor Dante Torres personally visited Santiago Apostol Parish priest Rev. Fr. Raul Delos Santos for the turnover of donations for the affected barangays which have experience a spike in coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases recently.

The supplements are meant to boost health of senior parishioners of the parish.

Meanwhile, the face masks and face shields were for the frontliners of the parish who continuously ensure that Masses are celebrated in the historic church despite the pandemic.

Tulio said the Betis District will be the recipient of upcoming social service programs of the organization.

Torres thanked the organization for its continued support for social service programs despite the looming threat of the Covid-19.
